Miles, Marley, and Mozart
Our signature music class is a fun and movement-filled study of the amazing rhythms of reggae, jazz, and classical music. Each week we dance, practice our rhythm sticks, play with instruments from around the world, take a ride on our fun musical parachute, and have a fun sing-along. This class is sure to please all ages!
Mini Michelangelos
This unique arts and craft class is far beyond the ordinary. We will explore creative and new crafts as well as take a different approach on common ones. Exciting and age specific, it is designed to be fun, silly, inspirational, and sometimes messy.
Bright Stars Drama Club
This class is a hip and trendy approach to traditional drama. It is designed to engage your childs imagination, enhance their knowledge of basic acting techniques, encourage creative play, and build confidence by performing for their peers.
Bright Stars Drama Club presents:
A Superhero Workshop
Its a bird! Its a plane! Its (insert you childs name here)! Calling all superheros to action. In this drama workshop we will develop our super powers, create our costumes, and complete a comic book.
Selzzup - Puzzles
Improve your reasoning skills. Expand your derivative skills. Enhance your concentration skills with our unique selzzup-puzzles class. Designed for children of all ages we will explore puzzles and their practical uses. Students will also be able to create their own puzzles and have many to take home and master.

The Kid Fitness
Based on the award winning PBS television series Kid Fitness
The Program "Jumping Jungle Jam":
Run like a cheetah, fly like a butterfly, and leap like a monkey! The entire family will enjoy our creative movement and healthy living enrichment class for children ages 1-6. Join us while we explore the globe and learn about animals and their movements from around the world. During every class, we will engage each participant in educational, creative play and structured games. Both you and your child will leave invigorated and ready to continue this fun fitness program with our healthy take-home recipes and active play routines.
About Kid Fitness:
The Kid Fitness show is a live, interactive public television series for ages 2-8 that revolves around a Super Health Hero named "Kid Fitness". Each episode incorporates physical activity, healthy recipes, nutrition tips, and educational segments to help engage children in fun, creative play, prevent childhood obesity and allow our children to live fuller, healthier lives.
Field Day Fantastic!*
It is summer--- get out and play! This class brings back all the classic field day activities. No child is too young to swing a bat, fluff a parachute, kick a soccer ball, throw a bean-bag, and more. Come out and play with us!

This science discovery class is great for curious little ones who are interested in exploring the world of science through fun songs, craft projects, and mini-experiments. (Savvy Scientists classes are also available when enrolling in our Two: Cool for School Program)
Mathletes Jr.
1, 2, 3 come count with me! In this energetic and engaging class children will practice counting, number recognition, colors, and shapes. Children will use songs, stories, games, and activities all to help make math time the best time of the day.
World Culture Club
This class brings the world to the classroom. Students will learn aspects of an interesting variety of world cultures during this 12-week session. We will cover the arts, customs, cuisine, geography, and political climates while creating crafts from countries around the world.
Book Adventures Jr. &
Little Book Worms
This enlightening program, designed for children ages 1-5, makes storytelling a 3-D learning experience. Each week the students will listen to a new book following the theme of the class. From the book they will learn new vocabulary, explore the storys theme, and think more deeply about the books characters. Class meets weekly for 45 minutes.
Little Historians
Our fun, energetic history teacher leads the students through a weekly historical journey. Students will reenact historic events, build historical replicas, and document their exploratory journeys in their time-warp journal. Ages 3-4 & 5-10

Savvy Scientists Presents:
Parkology*
Children will spend the class outside in the park collecting, observing, singing, and learning about the ecology of their local park. Not for the extremely clean as dirty fingers and grassy clothing are parts of our learning!

EnRICHment Potluck*
This class for 4-5 year olds combines the best of our arts and academics classes. Children will spend a few weeks on science, art, math, and world culture.

The City Discovery Program
After a day of school, send your child to a fun and enriching afternoon with New York City Explorers. They will enhance their reading comprehension and writing skills in our creative Book Adventures program, compliment their grade-school curriculum in our academic and art classes, and enjoy playing in local parks and our indoor play space. Each week will also feature a fun outward bound excursion! The program runs from 2:30-6:30pm and available in BoCoCa and Prospect Heights. For grades K-2nd.

An upbeat tutoring program where each student is able to advance their reading and writing skills while interacting in a fun environment. Book discussions group¨ Book related excursions¨ Group Tutoring
The students will meet weekly with an experienced college-educated tutor for a tutoring session and receive individualized instruction and attention. The goals of these sessions are to advance their writing, vocabulary and word usage skills, improve their reading comprehension, and to achieve higher scores on NY Citywide and Statewide Assessment Tests.
The second component is a book discussion group. The students meet to discuss the assigned book and accessory reading materials. The goal is to build confidence through group discussion, improve articulation capabilities of thoughts and ideas, and to create a stimulating social environment.
The third major component is the outward-bound excursion. Each student will enjoy two fun “edutaining” excursions that further explore the theme and character experiences within the assigned text. The goal of the excursions is to build a furthered appreciation for literature, to receive key positive experiences, and to obtain cultural enrichment. The program also includes parent meetings as often as needed to discuss your child’s individual growth.

NYCE Tutoring Services
We offer one-on-one tutoring for students who need personalized instruction and attention to excel in academic subject matters or upcoming testing NY City and Statewide Testing (Regents, ISIS, etc.). The students will meet weekly, or as needed, with an experienced college-educated tutor. Working closely with parents the tutor and student will journey together to advance the students writing, vocabulary and word usage skills, improve their reading comprehension, and help with science and math.

Tutoring fees begin at $40 per hour with multi-session discounts available.
NYCE Study Groups
Students attending our study groups can complete their homework, prepare for an exam, and receive extra support in an enriching environment. With a maximum 5 to 1 student/teacher ratio, the students will receive 1-hour of attentive and creative assistance and guidance.
Parents are welcome to create their own academic-based study group with one of our college-educated tutors to provide added enrichment to their children without the higher cost of individual tutoring sessions.

Special Needs Class
During the class session we will use your childs play preferences to work on initiating play with others, improving communication in a social setting, taking turns, following directions, and playing appropriately with others. We will also talk about strategies for dealing with behavior and improving language skills by focusing on positive reinforcement and follow through. The last half hour will be devoted to free play for the kids while the caregivers discuss language and behavior concerns with the teacher and brainstorm strategies to try at home.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Our intensives, for ages 2-6, have been designed for children with varied needs including developmental delays, Autism, and Down syndrome. Lindsey, our therapist, will do a free assessment/interaction at your home or at NYC Explorers to meet your family and get a feel for what your child's skills/needs are.
