On January 3, 2011, NY City Explorers will embark on its first international effort to offer children across the globe the opportunity to participate in the same fun, creative, educational programs and classes that we currently offer through our three Brooklyn locations. We are excited to announce our 1st international program site in Nairobi, Kenya! Our educational outreach programs will be completely funded by fund raising efforts and the generous donation of time from advisers, staff, and NYCE volunteers. Our goal is to sow seeds of hope into the hearts of children across the globe and to encourage an early foundation of creative thinking and positive self-esteem. With these key positive experiences we aspire to provide inspiration and memories to last a lifetime.Hop on board to help us realize our goal of raising $25,000 by December 1, 2010! Also, you may email us at nairobi_nycityexplorers.com for more information on our project. All donations are completely tax deductible, and all donors will receive a NY City Explorers gift certificate for 25% of their donation as a token of our sincere thanks and gratitude.

MAKING STRIDES
AGAINST BREAST
CANCER
2010 Making Strides of Brooklyn, NY Sunday, October 17, 2010Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is more than just the name of a walk; it describes the progress we're making together in the fight against breast cancer. Nothing can describe the hope that is inspired by walking with others who share a passion for ending this disease. Because nearly everyone has been touched by breast cancer in some way, hope for a world with less breast cancer and more birthdays starts with us. We've decided to show our support and make a difference by walking as a team in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event.Saving lives from breast cancer starts one team, one walker, and one dollar at a time. Join us, and together we will create a world with less breast cancer and more birthdays.
